Some teens, my brother included, think they’re way too cool to go to Walt Disney World, but that’s because they aren’t familiar with the many experiences for teens to enjoy.
Listed below are 5 key things I think all teens need to know when they go to Walt Disney World.
1. Disney World Is Not Just For Little Kids
There is so much to do in the parks that is not for little kids. In my previous post I listed my Top 5 Attractions that I think every teen needs to experience at Walt Disney World.
2. Enjoy the Characters
Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to approach the characters or to stand in line to meet them. I went to see Tinker Bell this year and she was so funny. I wasn’t even the only guy in line! The characters will interact with you and you will have a great time.
3. Watch the Parades and Shows
Some people will say the parades are the best part of Walt Disney World. While I wouldn’t go that far, I always make sure to see the parades when I visit. Everyone on Main Street is awestruck when the dragon breathes fire during the Festival of Fantasy parade.
The shows are also amazing including the new Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire at Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom. (I would even say there may be a future post on the Top 5 shows ;-))
4. Meet Other Teens
There are plenty of other teens in the Disney Parks so get out and meet them. I’ve made new friends while standing in line for Rock N Roller Coaster! For the most part, everyone in Walt Disney World is extremely nice so put yourself out there and talk to people.
5. Have Fun
You’re in Walt Disney World, enjoy yourself. Be a kid again. I cherish every moment I spend in the parks or at the resorts. You will have a lot of fun as long as you allow yourself to!
