Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens is all set for a December 18th release but who didn’t know that?
The hype building around Walt Disney World would be hard to miss.
There is a new scene from The Force Awakens playing in Star Tours over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the Star Wars Launch Bay featuring Star Wars character meets and lots of cool prop displays opened last week and monorail black with its Star Wars theme has been cruising the loop for a while now.
J.J. Abrams, director of the new movie, has made no secret of his desire for young audiences to pack the theaters beginning December 18th. His casting of Daisy Ridley as the primary protagonist is expected to be especially appealing to teen audiences.
“‘Star Wars’ was always a boys’ thing and a movie that dads could take their sons to, and though that’s still very much the case, I was really hoping this could be a movie that mothers could take their daughters to, as well,” Abrams said. “I’m looking forward to kids seeing this movie and seeing themselves in it and seeing that they’re capable of doing things that they never imagined possible.”
As for myself, I cannot wait to see the movie and will have my seat if not for the 18th then soon after.
